HyperSense ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in through a third-party provider (such as Apple or Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including the number of lookups performed, features used, and general usage patterns. This helps us improve the Service and manage subscription limits.

Camera and Lookup Data

HyperSense uses on-device text recognition to identify words directly from the camera viewfinder. We do not take or store photos of what you scan. Only the recognized text is sent to our servers to return definitions and translations, and it may be retained temporarily for caching purposes.

Favorites and Sync Data

If you save words to your favorites, we store those words and associated metadata (definitions, translations) in your account to enable syncing across your devices. You can delete individual favorites at any time, and all favorites are removed if you delete your account.

Website Analytics

Our marketing website (hypersenseapp.com) uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate visitor behavior — pages viewed, referral sources, approximate geographic region, and device type. We anonymize IP addresses and do not link this data to your HyperSense account or any personal identity. You can opt out using browser-level tools such as the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser. Analytics is not used inside the iOS app for marketing purposes.
